City of Milton Winter Rec Basketball League
Players will be contacted by their NEW coaches by October 24th.
If your child is on the “Waitlist” you will be notified by October 25th (if they have been placed on a team).
Practices will begin the week of November 1st.
Head Coaches determine date/time/location for practices, not the league.
High School Teams may have games on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday (due to the size of divisions).
Carpool Requests are NOT Guaranteed
Head coaches select each team, not the league, and if your carpool request is not granted then this is a “golden” opportunity for your son/daughter to meet new friends and families. Every carpool request is taken into consideration, but not always granted.

Evaluations are very quick; they usually last about 10 minutes. Players bring their own basketball.

How The Teams Are Selected
Teams Decided by Coaches’ Draft
The following teams will participate in the Coaches’ Draft:
K/1st grade (coed)
2nd/3rd grade (Boys & Girls)
4th/5th grade (Boys & Girls)
6th/7th grade (Boys & Girls)
Player-Assigned Teams
Boys and Girls; 8th/9th & HS players not on a team will be placed on a team.
Coaches Draft Night
Players are selected to teams by Head Coaches during our draft process, not by the parents or other players. All drafts are conducted via Zoom and only Head/Assistant Coaches are allowed to attend. Players must have attended at least one day of the Evaluation process.

Tuesday, October 15th:
K/1st Grade: 6:00 pm
2nd/3rd Grades (Boys): 8:00 pm
Wednesday, October 16th:
2nd/3rd Grades (Girls): 6:00 pm
4th/5th grades (Boys): 8:00 pm
Thursday, October 17th
4th/5th grades (Girls): 6:00 pm
6th/7th grades (Boys): 8:00 pm
Saturday, October 19th
6th/7th grades (Girls): 10:00 am
Player-Assigned Teams
Girls
2nd – 7th Grade girls teams will be created via a Coaches Draft.
Boys
8th/9th grades and High School teams will not have drafts. Players not on a team will be placed on a team per Halftime Sports evaluators. Players already on a team do not have to attend evaluations. Players not on a team must attend at least one evaluation day.
Divisions that select their own teams will not have a draft. Parents will be notified by Saturday, October 26nd.

If the Winter Recreation League is postponed or cancelled for any reason, there are No Refunds provided. The circumstance as it relates to postponement or cancellation of the league is out of our control.

The City of Milton Winter Recreation Basketball League presented by Spalding is the most exciting, fun-filled program in the southeast. Players will enjoy the spirit of basketball while competing in a recreation atmosphere.
